VIDEO DEPOSITIONS:
Videotaping a deposition adds another dimension to the deposition process by allowing you to later go back and review the witness' demeanor and body language, which can be very telling. The video deposition has perhaps become the most powerful tool a trial attorney can have at his disposal. There is much more impact when the jury can actually observe the witness as they are testifying. Another perk is that you can plan, with accuracy, how long the presentation of the testimony will take at trial. Should you have a witness that gives inconsistent testimony at trial, having the videotape of the testimony to play back at trial is extremely effective. Also, there is no need to read a transcript at trial , thereby alleviating the problem of having a reader perhaps grappling with terms he is not familiar with, not to mention that it is much more attention-getting, from the jury's perspective, to have playback of a video versus someone sitting on the stand and reading, in monotone, a transcript.
Video depositions can be filed with the court or provided to the client in VHS, DVD, or any digital computer video file.
Digital video files include MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, WMV, MOV, and FLV formats. MPEG1 is the common video file which is synchronized with the transcript.
Other Video and Assistance-Related Services:
Videotaping of Will-Signing:
Allows you to document a client's statements regarding their Will and their intentions relating to the Will.
Allows others not present during the signing to witness your client's cognitive condition at the time of signing.
Day-in-the-Life Videos:
This visual documentation of daily struggles a Plaintiff experiences while performing day-to-day tasks is a powerful tool to share with a jury responsible for deciding the outcome of a case. See "Day-in-the-Life Video" page for more information.
Video Duplication Services:
Full capability to duplicate one to 1,000 copies of videos in one location. We duplicate VHS, DVD, Audio and any other type of media. Fraley Cooper can also convert any video medium into any other medium, e.g., VHS to DVD, DVD to VHS, DVD to MPEG1, or any other computer video file, etc…
Courtroom Playback and Trial Presentation:
We bring the necessary equipment to play back your videos. In addition, we can handle all your exhibits, transcripts and videos at trial with Sanctions II Trial Presentation Software so you can focus more on your case and less on handling exhibits and fumbling to find other demonstrative evidence. See more about how our Litigation Support Services can help.
Call Fraley Cooper the next time you have need of legal video services.
